Reviews 101 Workshop

Reviews 101 Workshop

sell-that-book-cover

Reviews 101 is a 1-hour workshop that covers why reviews are important, where authors can find reviewers, how to request a review, and how to follow-up on their review requests. Participants will get an email template and example of a successful review query, which they can edit to use for their own review requests.

Session Marketing Description:

Want more Amazon reviews? This is the workshop for you! Reviews are like fairy dust for a book. The more reviews you get, the more books you sell. No NetGalley listing? No problem! You can get 100+ Amazon reviews without NetGalley, and CM McCoy will show you how. Learn where to find reviewers and how to convince them to review your book. Pick up an email template to make querying reviewers a cinch.

Colleen’s Bio:

CM McCoy is well aware nobody can say or spell her last name, hence the pen name. You can just call her Colleen. She’s published in YA and is the PR manager for Inklings Literary Agency, where she mentors authors on all things PR, including reviews. She’s a book blogger and reviewer herself and has collected over 100 Amazon reviews for her debut novel without a NetGalley listing. EERIE, a YA paranormal set in Alaska, was published in Dec 2015 by Omnific/Simon & Schuster. A sought-after personality, she’s been interviewed by PEOPLE Magazine, appeared on ABC’s 20/20, and booked appearances on Alaska’s local news morning shows. She holds a BS in both Chemical Engineering and German, flies helicopters, and has been know to Irish Dance (if you feed her enough whiskey).

Take-aways:

Attendees will learn how to find reviewers for their book. Each participant will get an email template/example of a successful review query, which they can edit and use for querying reviewers for their own book. Colleen will email some of the slides from the presentation to any participant who wants them.
