The 2017 RT Booklover’s Convention in Atlanta is May 2-7, and I will be all over the place with a TON of giveaways and my dancing shoes! There are now THREE events where you can definitely find me: 1) the YA Spooky Slumber Party, and 2) the #PitchWars Road Show and 3) YA Book-tionary.
Between fan-girling over the awesome authors, meeting with readers, and taking pitches from authors with agent Michelle Johnson, I hope to meet as many fellow book lovers as humanly possible! If you’re going to the convention, send me a note (colleen (at) cmmccoy.com). I’d love to meet up for drinks, dancing, book-gushing, EL James hunting, etc 🙂
(Seriously, I tracked her down at RT last year, and this year, I badly BADLY want my copy of GREY signed <3 )
So many awesome authors will be milling around!
I asked the other Spooky YA authors of RT to share their favorite creepy book or movie with us. Here’s part THREE of those spooky recommendations.
At the bottom of THIS post, you’ll find a Rafflecopter giveaway of a SIGNED copy of DESIRE by R. Rose (US only) or a $10 Giftcard (international) :-D
Meet some Spooky YA Authors
Yours Truly
Creepiest villain ever — Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street. I think he creeped me out so much I imagined my novel’s villain, Cobon, as somewhat similar in his singular evil purpose.

Roxanna Rose
The Woman in Black. It’s my creepy movie pick because some of those single frame images, especially of the children, gave me nightmares for a weeks.

Arthur Mitchell, the trinity killer from Dexter.
I think Darth Vader makes a great villain.
Thanks for the contest.
My favorite villain is a tie between Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls and Plankton from SpongeBob Squarepants.
Professor James Moriarty is the archenemy of Sherlock Holmes is my favorite. When I was young I just loved the name Moriarty!
Lord Voldemort.
My favorite villain is Darth Vader. He talks funny.
My favorite villain would have to be the Darkling from Shadow and Bone.
My favorite creepy movie is Oculus. I love the way it gets in your head and that you’re never sure exactly what is real and what isn’t.
