Thanks for this opportunity!! I’m currently writing a YA Epic Fantasy which is a playful twist on the film The Truman Show.
Thank you for this opportunity! I love to write in different styles, genres & age categories. My novel is YA Paranormal Romance. The inspiration is from the classic story of Sleeping Beauty.
Thanks for the great opportunity! My MS is a sci-fi mystery about a psychopath who feels remorse and struggles to overcome her dark nature while searching for her past.
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I write adult fantasy, and my current project is a troll caper!
YA Fantasy – the novel is set in an underground city and I came up with the idea while riding the Chunnel
Thanks for all you do to support writers.
Fun Fact: When my son was growing up, he had a feather growing out of his back. We’d take it out and it’d regrow… hence my epic Fantasy about a winged race.
This is a great opportunity. Thanks!
Thanks for the opportunity! I write YA fantasy and a fun (or rather, weird) thing about this project is that I don’t remember where my idea came from. I can’t think of anything that inspired me, it was just here one moment and I forgot how.
Perfect timing for your query/1st page critique giveaway: several agents ‘like’ my #DVpit and am about to submit for my upmarket, speculative ms.
My project is a MG paranormal, and the fun fact is that the kids’ powers are inspired by the proverb: See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
ENFJ writer seeks intern who enjoys late-night editing, oxford commas and the occasional critique. Photo of your red pen gets pic of my 84,000-word ms. LTR in our future? Let’s find out!
WIP is a romantic suspense that features a cheeseburger obsessed heroine who thinks the man who killed her brother was justified. Batman in Italian cashmere and the Disney Princess who owns him.
I’ve got a chapter book paranormal (angels!) and I planned for it to be gritty/dark, but I tossed that idea because it didn’t feel right at all. Also loving the excuse to research! 🙂
Thanks for organizing the giveaway! I’ve written a MG sci-fi about a girl searching for her missing best friend with the help of an alien doppelganger.
What a great opportunity for unpublished authors. Thank you for sharing your talents and time by providing this golden nugget for some lucky winner.
I think I goofed up Sunday when I signed up: did not write anything in the free entry before I submitted. Been trying to rectify but Rafflecopter here is not letting me.
Am I doing something wrong?
I see your entry in the Rafflecopter, and so you did it right. 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
This is such an awesome opportunity. Thank you for hosting this.
Contests are like food for the writer’s soul. Thank you for this!
Hmmm. I see others mentioning fun facts, but I don’t see the instructions about this. I gather it is a fun fact about our writing. Here goes: My manuscript started out as a novelty item/toy: An Invisible Book. Then I wrote a story based on that toy..
I just finished a middle grade fantasy. I had fun creating new species and new languages with this one. The languages will be easy for MG kids to decipher with the code I set up. But of course, I tried to make sure the foreign words could be understood, at least what might’ve been meant with the context of the paragraph they were used in. I’m also thinking I should make a map. At least, this sounds like a good excuse to bust out the crayons! Ha!
Thanks so much for doing this awesome giveaway! 🙂 Fun fact about my story: it’s a YA fantasy retelling of Arthurian legend that focuses on the relationship between two brothers. Has a very Dean/Sam feel from Supernatural. 😀
Adult semi-epic fantasy. With Indian and Eastern European and Arabic mythology-inspired characters
Thanks for the chance! I’ve written a YA fantasy inspired by Chinese mythology
Thanks to Inklings for this opportunity.
I write all my Sci-Fi under my pen name Christopher V. Davis. My current finished project is a quirky, genre blending NA SCI-FI called Futurecast- Kimberly not only works in a restaurant famous hot wings and cold beer, she’s also a time traveler on a mission to save the future.
Have others projects in the works.
Thanks for this opportunity!
I write sci-fi/fantasy. My latest novel, about a refugee woman in a world slowly being covered in ice because of sun-stealing creatures, is the first book I’m writing since my son arrived in October, and it is going much slower than I’d like.
Thanks for this opportunity! I wrote a YA fantasy involving unicorns. Fun fact: when I started writing this manuscript pumpkins sprouted in my courtyard and survived through summer. Spontaneously growing pumpkins in Arizona isn’t normal! Magic must of jumped of my pages and into the soil.
I LOVE THIS TIDBIT!!! My fairy tale retelling mind goes berserk at little nuggets like this! Thanks for sharing!
I’m writing YA Dark Fantasy about 5 teens trying to protect their city from flesh-eating, mutated zombies
Thank you for offering this great opportunity!!!
Thanks so much for the giveaway! 🙂 fun fact – my ms is a YA Arthurian retelling focusing on two brothers with a friendship like Dean and Sam from Supernatural. 😀
I love me some Dean Winchester… 🙂
A character-driven mystery/police procedure set in India. Excited and hoping to get a critique for my manuscript.
My project is Adult Fantasy taking place in a Victorian-like world (developed society, but devoid of industry and technology).
The story is about the last eight days before a cataclysm changes this world forever – magic will be born as a new element to plunge the down-to-earth land of Khania into chaos.
A fun fact is that the novel’s mythology is based on ancient Bulgaria (Thrace and the Second Bulgarian Realm).
I love stories with folklore from real cultures <3
Adult SFF, Handmaid’s Tale meets Children of Men
Nice!
Thanks for this opportunity, Colleen. I’m excited about entering and hoping to get a critique on my upper MG novel. 🙂
Fingers crossed for you!
I *think* I entered! My phone isn’t loading pages for me, so I’m not entirely sure if it went through. (If it didn’t, I’m sorry!)
Fun fact about my MS: My MS was inspired by a beautiful small-town graveyard by brother was burried at. The sculptures have always been breathtaking.
So I asked myself, “How hard would it be to have a gravestone statue as an MC?”
And I’m finding out in this manuscript.
Dani — I don’t see your entries in the rafflecopter. Maybe try again? Your premise sounds great!
*My* not *by* typo–
Thanks! I’ll try again later. I’m having formatting issues in my phone. Grr! 🙂
I’m currently working on an YA Epic Fantasy where the children of an Emperor can carry the wishes of the Emperor. Fun fact, this story idea came to me while I was folding cranes.
I write contemporary fantasy. My current project is about a person who can’t do magic trying to live up to the family legacy.
Thanks for offering this — such a great opportunity! My YA SF novel is set in a dystopian society deep in the Arctic. Fun fact: the MC may have to battle the undead.
Adult thriller. Am trying to write the smutty parts without euphemisms while avoiding being crass. I have developed a great deal of respect for romance authors.
Also, I filled out the Rafflecopter options. DO I need to do anything else? There doesn’t seem to be an ‘Enter’ button to hit.
Hi Jay! I see your entries in the Rafflecopter, so you’re good to go! Good luck, fingers crossed! (and I remember how much I blushed when I was writing my first steamy scene…lol! I kept looking over my shoulder like I was about to get in trouble)
YA magic realism – It combines Jinn lore with the creation story.
Thanks for the opportunity! I’m writing a ghost story romance set in New Orleans, my favorite city in the world! Fun fact: I’ve gone on a few ghost hunts myself for research 🙂
A ghost tour in New Orleans is on my bucket list! Did you experience anything?
YA Contemporary Romance. Fun fact: action opens in a Piggy Wiggly (yes, It’s southern!)
ahhhhh! So awesome!
I’m currently working on a YA project that is a spy adventure called Church Morgan. 15 yo Church Morgan is the CIA’s newest spy. It would’ve been nice to know before there was a target on his head.
It’s a four book series. I’m almost finished with the fourth book. I plan to release them starting each year starting in October.
Awesome!
My story is a YA Arthurian legend retelling, and a fun fact about it is it’s told from Morgana’s perspective and set in modern times.
Oooooo! This sounds great!
Picture Books – My book is about a persistent little witch.
Cool!
Yay! How exciting.
Maria Hossain here & I may be one of the few people on earth who loves movie/book spoilers…
Entering the giveaway, 😀
Oops. Forgot a fun fact about my project. There was once a hashtag on twitter, #RBWL (Readers & Bloggers Wish List) like #MSWL where we talked about stuff we wanna see in books and I tweeted for a book set in the ancient civilizations. My current project is a YA high fantasy inspired by that 😀
Cool! I’m totally looking up that hashtag….
