~ 4 Stars ~ LOSING IT

About the Book

This is a really sweet “first time” book, and as far as coming-of-age stories go, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What I loved: I loved the slightly forbidden student-professor romance; I couldn’t decide if I wanted to squeeze Garrick or lick his neck. And of course, everyone loves a happily ever after ending.

What I didn’t love: For me to give this 5 stars, it has to have that “it” factor that makes me want to read it (or parts of it) again. Though this is a great story, it wasn’t one that I’d go back and read again. Well, maybe in a few years. Or one year. I think I’ll hang on to it in any case. Next week, I’ll probably come back and bump this to 4.5 stars. hmmm…

Skim factor: Low. Cora Carmack is a great writer.
